But Maria had me feeling all sick inside yesterday, like, I was supposed to be making lunch, and then she comes with all that so amazing stuff that made Michael close to throwing up because the agony was just too much (now, that's what I get for saying I love angst! ), and there went lunch!

Anyway, I think he overdid it a little with the last two parts, I mean: kids talk?! I think he's losing it. It's not really Michael. he must have been body-snatched! Well, blame it on the ticking clock.

BTW - Maria! I loved the last line where she says losing him is all the world!

Bunnie - Yeah, you're right, now that you mention it! I thought the insecurity factor was thrown in very well, and like you said, Jenny picked it up, too, and it all turned out into this really great scene.
I think that the way you wrote him is totally Kyle exactly because of that dualism of the macho-exterior and the nice guy inside who actually has no clue about things. I think you're right and in the show it was definitely there - it was all talk, talk, talk, but there was always the side of him that showed that he was not as blunt as he liked to come across.

Yeah, I thought since its the classic we're-trapped-anyway-let's-get-it-all-out-situation, it wasn't that bad that Michael was a little out of it. I think it's pretty uncharacteristic, but bearable.. in a way. I'm where you said you are: thinking that he somehow is completely gaga and outta character, on the other hand it fits in a weird way, otherwise I wouldn't have written it, but now that I have started to think about it I'm not so sure anymore...

Crap. He needs to have someone smack him out of it! Maybe Maria can do that.

Well, speaking from a readers POV-- I actually LOVED that part. When I was there, the vivid image of Michael was very real-- and so was what he said (and thought).

But I guess that just must be me.
